Vinton Comprehensive Plan

Line and Grade helped the town of Vinton, Virginia, update their comprehensive plan.

The plan is built around a community needs assessment, which emphasized infrastructure, economic development, downtown revitalization, transportation, and other key issues in the community.

The project also included a detailed implementation plan that identifies strategies, policies, funding resources, and planning-level cost estimates.

• Review and analysis of available data related to existing conditions for key community elements, including transportation, land use, and community facilities and services
• An updated community vision informing the land use vision, future land use plan, future transportation network plan, and implementation actions
• A set of strategies and actions supportive of the town’s vision and goals
• A robust community engagement process including focus groups, a community questionnaire, pop-ups at community events, and community meetings
• A clear and concise plan document using graphics and visuals to convey planning concepts
