How they ended up here / Why Civil Engineering

Ben has always had a passion for designing living systems, experimenting in his youth by building gardens, fish tanks, and insect enclosures at home. After working at a large tree nursery for a year, Ben discovered landscape architecture and valued its ability to creatively design healthy and sustainable spaces.

Favorite part of their job

Ben enjoys working through challenging design problems as a team and learning how the skillsets of civil engineers and landscape architects complement each other in this pursuit. 

 

Other Interests

When not working, Ben loves growing all kinds of plants, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, girlfriend, and their many pets.
