Daniel currently serves as Lead Engineer and Founding Principal at Line and Grade. He participates in a variety of engineering projects, specializing in rehabilitations and retrofits to civic spaces. Due to his diversified professional background Daniel offers a creative and thoughtful approach to navigating project challenges. The breadth of his experience includes rehabilitations of historic pedestrian environments and adaptive reuse and re-development projects. Additionally, he has worked on an assortment of rehabilitation and renovation projects with historic sensitivity. Daniel’s primary responsibilities have included evaluations, studies and the development of Contract Documents including Construction Drawings and Project Manuals. Daniel is also responsible to assist clients and owners with various Post-Design services including Bid Assistance, submittal review, RFI response and site observation reports. Recently, Daniel led design efforts to re-imagine and redevelop the Colonial Avenue corridor which has traditionally been a vehicle-centric commuter route passing through Virginia Western Community College’s campus. When the construction is complete, the corridor will exhibit 3 new roundabouts, new pedestrian connections and comprehensive bike lanes integrating with the campus.
